Education – Key to Successful Future
No one can deny the importance of education for a child. It is their right to get proper education for a better future. But, in places where minorities are high in number, equal education becomes a challenge. In our society where discrimination and bullying are at their peak, children from marginalized and vulnerable groups often become a victim to receive little to no education. It is important to raise awareness for equal children’s education to change the social and cultural norms so that negative consequences can be avoided.
Identifying Discrimination in Education
If a child feels he is being mistreated or discriminated against in school, chances are he is suffering unfairly
- Due to who they are
- Due to where they are coming from
- Due to their color and ethnicity
- Due to their social status
Identifying who is treating a child poorly is one way to solve the discrimination problem. There should be no place for prejudice in the education system, be it a school, college, or university, in a rural or urban place. But, society is not forgiving to people who come from minorities. The admissions, provision of education, school policies and procedures, access to benefits and services, careers, and other information are a few ways where they are left off.
Need for Ending Racial Disparity in Education System
These cases make it difficult for the students to take admission in schools, and even if they do get in, it becomes harder to continue studying. That is why it is important to raise awareness to make education accessible for children of every ethnicity and color and every social status.
Children need to be treated fairly at home, neighborhood, and in school altogether for their successful future. This way, they will be able to learn more and be excited about getting higher education, which will lead to a successful career. Every successful individual makes a successful and developed society. We need to end the cultural misunderstandings and implicit biases to become a better place for future generations. It needs collective effort from every person of the community to work for the children’s education and to provide equal access to the resources provided at schools. That is the only way to help kids with education and make them into better citizens for the nation, and to help them achieve dreams and have a successful future.
