About Kennedy’s Hope
Helping Children for Better a Future
Kennedy’s Hope is a non-profit organization aiming to serve the community by building 20 schools in 20 years. With the help of volunteers from the same community, they want to encourage education among children to build a better tomorrow. Empowerment of society is only possible if the children get proper education and start their careers with strong foundations.
The classrooms to be built are 2 in number that will be equally accessed by anyone who wants to avail extra help. We are partnered with the community that can help us out to acquire land for our project. The first school to be built is in Honduras in South America, the second in Tunisia in Africa, the third in Nigeria, and then Brazil.
Our goals include;
- Access to Education
- Building Schools
- Preparing Children for Exams
- Building Self-Confidence
- Workshops to Motivate Society
- Working with Volunteer Teachers

Why Us?
Kennedy’s Hope was created to provide low-income families access to a computer center, where they would be able to use the necessary technological tools to strengthen their basic computing skills. This also allowed the individuals to learn a wide variety of multimedia tools that helped them start their careers and to help society be educated in the field. More job opportunities arose with this knowledge and the program became a major hit in Detroit.
We conduct workshops that are presented by the leaders in science, technology, business, engineering, and other top fields to motivate students to get higher education. These workshops help implement knowledge and improve self-confidence among students. We help students with;
- Preparing exams
- Help improving grades
- Building self-confidence
- Aspiring children to become a hero
These workshops are conducted to help the societies learn the importance of education and a strong career after graduation.
We have a community-based network of partners, volunteers, alumni, and sponsors, who work with us running this program successfully. Our team at Kennedy’s Hope is made with:
- Hardworking
- Compassionate
- Creative individuals
We have big goals for society to flourish. With our team, we will make sure we help societies empower through education.
We identify the pressing issues in society with the help of students and develop plans that can bring change. We provide college and career aspirations through continuous support and education.
With further assistance from the community, we will establish more schools to facilitate more areas and empower societies with education. That’s our hope!

Ray of Hope for Low-Income Families
After a successful starting program, we moved towards a bigger step, which is to offer the community free or low-cost tutoring classes that prepare the high school students for their standardized tests. Currently, the main focus is SATs and ACT exams that are prepared by the volunteer alumni from the community, who focus on African American high school students. This program exposes the students to positive role models in the community for a renewed aspiration to pursue their dream careers. We want to cultivate minds by providing opportunities and careers using technology.

Melvie Berkery is the founder of Kennedy’s Hope, a fund-raising organization aiming to build 20 schools in 20 years. As we all know, societies can only develop if they have highly qualified individuals. But, with the rising education costs, students prefer starting a job to continuing their studies. This is why; Kennedy’s Hope aims to build schools for low-income families to empower such societies through education.
With Kennedy’s Hope, education will be accessible to individuals belonging to low-income families. This will help them improve their grades, prepare them for the ACTs and SATs exams, build self-confidence and overall help them with character building. We hope to bring a positive change in society with the help of volunteers who have similar hopes and work ethics.
