The color line divides all humanity even in the 21st century. We see the racial and religious attacks every few months, where influential figures have to step up to support the victims just to realize another race or religion is being mistreated. This is a never-ending cycle and it has been here for centuries. No matter how much we speak for equality, no one cares unless it gets big. Even then, once the air cools down, another problem arises and the cycle keeps going. It is causing concern and anxiety for the victims to live in a society where they are attacked whenever the winds are blowing strong.

Discrimination in the Schools

No matter how many debates and events are arranged for promoting prosperity and discipline in society, it’s all in vain. The gaps grow bigger when multiple nationalities, religions, and colors all come together at one platform, especially in education, where kids bully each other for being themselves. This case is causing problems for the non-American students, who already have enough problems on their plates. They are forced to live as an outcast, trying to survive school life. This attitude and behavior of the student are hurting their academic achievements as they are left with a lack of motivation to study further.

Lack of Resources

The minorities often have an unstable financial condition, which also affects their mental health along with the constant bullying. This dramatically affects their learning opportunities as their social status is different from the average native citizen. So, if they have more than one issue, and their grade is dropping, chances are that they will be labeled as uninterested kids who take education for granted.

The Nature of Educational Inequality

The minorities often have to go to low-cost schools that are not well-maintained, unlike the native citizens, who have a bit of better luck no matter which social status they come from.

Our Role in the Society

We need to end this era and make education accessible to every child and provide them with similar resources to develop a balanced society. It needs constant efforts by organizations, influential figures, and administrations to raise awareness among the citizens to help children with proper education to flourish the society. Proper funds, scholarships, and treatment should be provided to kids, especially the minorities, who are going through enough in their lives. That is the only way to bridge the gap between races and to treat everyone the same. No color line, no religion line. Equality is what keeps you stronger.
